(1) What Open Research Data (ORD) standards for organismal data in public databases exist already?
(2) What are the challenges of ORD management among Natural History Collections (NHCs)?
(3) Can we integrate existing data repositories with the support of workbench management tools?
(4) What is needed to link international repositories that hold specimen data with databases that publish comparative organismal data?
(5) How can we foster the application of ORD standards by the community of researchers relying on organismal material documented in specimen repositories?
(1) Increase scientific and educational use of digital NHCs natural collections by increasing inter-operability and access to collection data.
(2) Raise the awareness of the significance of the integration of all organismal research data for ORD and FAIR principles.
(3) Bring together researchers from different fields for discussion and an exchange that will rely on such implementations, ranging from those affected by maintaining such databases/collections and researchers profiting from it and interested in contributing to it.
